    Description

In the photo: Dr. Avraham Ast (right), Dr. Leider (centre) and Dr. Leon Glazer (left). According to the testimony of Sara Ziskind, Dr. Leider was deported from Krakow to the Lodz ghetto, where he lived in her neighbourhood at 8-A Ceglana Street near Baluty Market Square. In March 1941, 41 work horses were brought to the Lodz Ghetto, intended for transporting food. Dr. Leider inspected these horses, and the building Department built stables for them at 23 Marysinska Street. Dr. Ast was the manager of a workshop that produced sausages in the ghetto.
